A star of “The Neverending Story” is coming to New York’s Southern Tier for the film’s 40th anniversary.
Noah Hathaway, who played Atreyu in the 1984 movie, will host a screening of “The Neverending Story” on Sunday, Nov. 10, at the Regal Arnot Mall in Horseheads, N.Y. The event will begin at 7 p.m. and feature a Q&A with Hathaway and meet-and-greet opportunities.
A limited number of tickets are available for $15 at twintierscomiccon.com/movies.
The event is organized by the Twin Tiers Comic-Con, a fan convention scheduled for Nov. 9-10 at the Arnot Convention Center in Horseheads. The event includes celebrity guests, Q&A panels, contests, and a variety of retailers for fans of comics, sci-fi, fantasy, pop culture and more.
Hathaway, whose credits include “Battlestar Galactica,” will also appear at the Twin Tiers Comic-Con, along with “Clerks” actors Brian O’Halloran and Marilyn Ghigliotti; “Fear the Walking Dead” actress Michelle Ang; “Aqua Teen Hunger Force” voice actors Dana Snyder and Carey Means; and actor James Duvall (”Donnie Darko,” “Gone in 60 Seconds,” “Independence Day”).
Duval will host a similar movie screening event for “Donnie Darko” on Friday, Nov. 8, at the Regal Arnot Mall. The actor, who played Frank in the 2001 cult classic, will introduce the film at 7 p.m., followed by a Q&A and meet-and-greet session.
Tickets for Duval’s event are also $15 via twintierscomiccon.com/movies.
Single-day admission for the Twin Tiers Comic-Con is $30 and weekend passes are $40; prices increase on the day of the event. Kids 14 and under get in free with a paid adult, and all U.S. veterans get free admission with a military ID/license or DD-214.
