This genuine Ladbrooke "Micro 20" soil blocker is the ultimate hand-held seedling starting block, making twenty VERY SMALL soil blocks that are 3/4" x 3/4" x 3/4".
Part of the unique Ladbrooke Micro 20/Mini 4/Maxi "nesting" system for starting seeds and transplanting starts, the Micro 20 is best for starting small seeds, and requires using very fine soil blocking mix. A chunky soil blocking will not fit in the tiny cells of the MICRO 20.
Soil blockers are fun and easy to use, offer an excellent growing medium, and are eco-friendly. Potting soil is compressed wet into the soil block mold and then discharged into a tray with the ejection handle. Very simple to use and handle. Soil blockers make a "pot-less" pot, and can be used for all seeds, and are great to use for cuttings as well. With soil blocks, roots are air-pruned and transplant shock, stunting, slow-growth is greatly reduced.
The Micro 20 is used successfully by hundreds of gardeners and farmers around the world, it can be the most challenging of the Ladbrooke soil blockers. Making these tiny soil blocks requires a fine soil blocking mix; a chunky soil blocking mix will not fit in the tiny cells of the Micro 20. In addition the tool is made of a thinner, more easily bendable metal along with plastic components.
